Carbon footprint
Voluntary. Conscious. Transparent.
We see it as our responsibility not only to promote sustainability but also to make it transparent. That is why GO IN works with ClimatePartner to calculate its carbon footprint annually—on a voluntary basis and beyond what is required by law. In this way, we ensure transparency regarding our emissions and establish a solid foundation for developing targeted measures. On this page, we present the key findings from our carbon footprint report in an easy-to-understand format.
Our carbon footprint at a glance
The carbon footprint consists of direct emissions – Scope 1, Emissions from purchased energy – Scope 2 and other indirect emissions associated with our business operations – Scope 3. Classifying emissions into these three scopes helps us identify the areas where they originate and where we can take targeted action to reduce them step by step.

Compared to the previous year, improvements are evident in 2024 in the following areas:
- We were able to reduce our direct CO₂ emissions (Scope 1) by approximately 18%.
- We were able to reduce indirect emissions (Scope 3) associated with our business operations by approximately 8%.
- Particularly positive trends within Scope 3 are evident in employees' commutes, waste generated at the facility, and fuel- and energy-related emissions.

In recent years, we have already implemented the following measures to specifically reduce emissions:
- Installation of charging stations for electric cars and e-bikes in our company parking lot to make electric mobility more appealing.
- Switch to combined heat and power plants – These systems generate electricity and heat simultaneously with exceptional efficiency. This allows for better on-site utilization of energy and reduces the need for external energy sources.
- Expansion of our solar power systems – Since a large portion of the electricity we generate is fed into the public grid, this effect is reflected only to a limited extent in our own balance sheet.
- Reupholstering of seating furniture – Whenever possible, we opt for reupholstering rather than replacement. This allows us to enhance the appearance and functionality of furniture, extend its lifespan, and use resources more responsibly.
- For the past three years, our internal Sustainability Month has been promoting knowledge sharing and active participation in sustainability initiatives.
- For our company outing, we’re focusing on more sustainable solutions and traveling with a carbon-neutral bus company.
- Whenever possible, we have our print materials produced in a climate-neutral manner and support social and environmental projects with small donations.

Feedback shapes the future
With ReviewForest, we link customer feedback to a concrete action aimed at promoting sustainability. For every review submitted, GO IN plants a real tree. This means that every piece of feedback not only provides us with valuable insights but also makes a small yet tangible contribution to reforestation and climate protection.
Trees for stars
For your Google review we plant a tree for you! Together with our partner Review Forest, we support the Eden Reforestation Project in Madagascar with every rating. The organization manages three reforestation projects on the island. Everything from mangrove forests to dry deciduous forests are included. The reforestation protects the coastline from storms and weather events and the highlands from flooding. We look forward to your review and planting a tree for you!
