Nikii's Steakhouse
Location: Leverkusen, Germany | Category: Hotel
The Nikii Hotel & Restaurant Leverkusen is the perfect place to sleep and feast. The boutique hotel in the heart of Leverkusen focuses on individuality - from service and the F&B concept to the furnishing concept created in-house. In addition to carefully preserved architectural elements and a balanced room concept, selected furniture from GO IN ensures comfort.
Located 10 kilometers from the Cologne Trade Fair Center, 1.7 kilometers from the BayArena and just 3 minutes from the train station, the Nikii Hotel & Restaurant welcomes both business and leisure guests. The newcomer on the Leverkusen hotel market offers guests 23 rooms, a bright conference room and - as the centerpiece, so to speak - a restaurant with bar area. In the morning, a varied breakfast buffet is set up in the front area of the restaurant; during the day, coffee and other drinks are available at the atmospherically lit bar. In the evening, the team at "Nikii's Steakhouse" with its total of 64 seats spoils overnight guests and walk-ins with specialties from the grill and other delicacies.

Exciting contrast between old and new
The building on Lichstraße was completely modernized after being vacant for several years and finally given a new lease of life in 2018 as a city hotel with an attached restaurant. The dark façade with its striking silver lettering gives you an idea as you pass by that Nikii places great value on design and ambience. Thus, during the renovation, parts of the existing substance were preserved to create an exciting contrast between old and new. The owners, Lazar Vucinic and his brother Filip Vucinic, bring very different know-how to the joint project: one has practical experience in the hotel business, the other knowledge of planning, room layout and statics from a degree in architecture.
Thus, the concept for the interior was designed by the brothers themselves, with great emphasis on the "feel-good factor." "We deliberately chose natural materials, warm colors and surfaces that are pleasant to the touch," explains Lazar Vucinic. The wooden floorboards and the restored wooden beams on the ceiling are matched by the upholstered Liska armchairs from GO IN with their characteristic retro chic.

Warm colors, velvety fabrics
The chair model looks casual and classy at the same time thanks to the frame made of black-stained beech wood with brass-colored sleeves and the velvety fabric Cosy. The owners have chosen the colors blue-grey, bordeaux, petrol, dark blue for the cover. This mix of harmonizing tones pleasantly breaks up the seating concept. Modular T tables were also chosen - here, a black Vario Strong tabletop was combined with a column of black powder-coated aluminum. In addition, bar tables (Wulf model) in natural oak were placed on the wall opposite the bar. As at the bar, guests sit here on the oak bar stool Wanto. The seat cushions of the stools were also covered with Cosy fabric - in the same colors as the chairs. Lazar Vucinic: "We had initially also thought of permanently installed benches, but then preferred to remain flexible in the room design." The tables and chairs can be positioned slightly differently depending on requirements. Unique pieces such as the black nostalgic sofa with gold feet in the small fireplace corner serve as special eye-catchers. Moss pictures, artfully designed lamps and other decorative details complete the overall picture.
Sturdy and easy to clean
Lazar and Filip Vucinic are pleased with the result. They became aware of GO IN through a recommendation when they were looking for visually sophisticated furniture for their project that also met important criteria such as quality, stability and ease of care. They found what they were looking for in the GO IN catalog, and after further consultation - including the suitability of the velvety fabric for use in the restaurant - the decision was quickly made. The result is impressive and the guests also comment positively on the furnishings. "We have been asked more often where we bought the chairs, as they are beautiful and comfortable at the same time."
